Current Opening This is comprehensive Truck Driving position for our Joplin location, which is an above ground limestone mining operation. This position should be considered a temporary position, with a 5 month life. There will be no benefits, aside from statutory benefits, attached to this position. This is an hourly position, paid at the rate of $17.75 per hour. All applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Friday, March 12th. This position is responsible for operating an off-road haul truck for hauling shot rock to the crusher, transferring product from bins and sorting the product according to size and quality. The person occupying this position is expected to situate the product for final distribution. This position is also responsible for maintaining air quality and dust suppression in the pit, on roadways, and in the stockpile area along with assisting with maintenance of the conveyer belt counterweights through the use of a water cannon. The person occupying this position may also be responsible for assisting with the plant maintenance to include, but not limited to maintaining the secondary plant, cone crusher and triple roll, etc. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: · Retrieve product from bins · Relocate to the appropriate pile, based on size and quality · Dump the product in a manner that allows for easy access to the customer · Open and shut valves to release appropriate amount of product · Maintain screens, belts and lubrication needs of the plant · Watch for overflow in the bins to reduce product cleanup efforts · Operate water truck · Maintain damp grounds to suppress dust · Adjust water dispensing by water truck in dry or damp areas · Assist with washing the conveyor belt through the use of the water cannon · Haul rock to the crusher · Dump load in a manner that does not overburden the crusher · Assists with maintenance issues related to the plant · Ensures accurate positioning of truck in relation to loader · Watches for obstruction of wheels during loading and unloading process · Obey signals sent from Plant Operator to achieve safe dumping practices. |
