PLANNED SURFACE DEVELOPMENT
While our underground development continues, we are beginning development of our above ground property. See Plans. The site consists of approximately 505 acres of undeveloped land on the northeast corner of US Highway 65 and Division St. In 1999, the Springfield, Missouri City Council approved a planned development for the property that includes both commercial and retail zoning.
Located adjacent to US Highway 65 and only a few miles south of Interstate 44, the site has excellent access to the entire Springfield region and has clear visibility from US Highway 65. See Map. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, 64,000 cars passed the site each day in 2001 and the department projects 108,000 cars per day will pass the site by 2020. Given this visibility and the growth in Springfield, the possibilities for this development are substantial.
